EXPANDING MY THOUGHTS ON THE SEXUAL REVOLUTION

OWNING OUR BODIES & BUSINESS' IN THE MODERN WORLD

Hey there luvz ... So I've been thinking a lot about my post a couple weeks ago, Good Vibrations & The Sexual Revolution .  

I feel like I got caught up in the moment of complete joy while reflecting on the actual timeline of our progression, that I didn't quite execute my thought appropriately when making this statement about Joanie Blank:  "I mean this woman was the pioneer of the feminist sex-positive movement, which I am now calling four decades later, the 'Sexual Revolution.'" (p5)  

1960's

Yes I know the beginning of the Sexual Revolution was in the 1960's but because four decades later womxn owned feminist sex shops, among other businesses are worldwide providing communities with knowledge, education & visibility..., I feel like it's a whole new revolutionary push.  

We are the purveyors of the Sexual Revolution, keeping it moving along & strong!

Not only are womxn owning these sex stores but we ourselves have revolutionized pleasure products through education & top of the line technology. Owning & reclaiming this space is a revolution in itself!

Cherry Bombin' wear

It's been 12 years since I started Cherry Bombin' wear & looking back I am amazed at how far femmes have progressed the industry of sexual pleasure for & by womxn in this amount of time!  Although, there is a whole new patriarchal agenda to overcome, we must not forget how transformative the past few decades have been.

Here's to confronting the new agenda with a stampede!!
